1. Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)

  • B.Ed. or Integrated B.Ed.–M.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution.
  • Working knowledge of both Hindi and English.
  • Teaching experience as TGT or in a recognized school will be preferred.

2. Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)

    • Subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Sanskrit
  • Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
  • B.Ed. Degree from an NCTE-recognized university.
  • CTET Paper-II qualification is desirable.
  • Ability to teach in both English and Hindi medium.

3. Primary Teacher (PRT)

  • Senior Secondary (10+2) with minimum 50% marks.
  • 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year B.El.Ed. / D.Ed. (Special Education).
  • Must have qualified CTET Paper-I.
  • Basic computer knowledge and bilingual teaching ability preferred.

4. Computer Instructor

  • B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science/IT or BCA / MCA / M.Sc. (CS/IT) or equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks.
  • Proficiency in teaching computer applications in both Hindi and English.

5. Primary Teacher (Music)

  • Senior Secondary (10+2) with minimum 50% marks.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Music or Performing Arts from a recognized institution.
  • Music must have been studied as the main subject.
  • Knowledge of Hindi, English, and basic computer skills preferred.

6. Regional Language Teacher (Odia)

  • Graduation with Honours in Odia with 50% marks OR Post Graduation in Odia with 55% marks.
  • B.Ed. Degree from an NCTE-recognized institution.
  • Strong proficiency in teaching Odia language will be given preference.

7. Games Coach / Physical Education Teacher

  • Bachelor’s Degree / B.P.Ed. / Integrated BPEd with at least 50% marks from an NCTE-recognized institution.
  • Candidates who have represented at State or National level in sports will be preferred.

8. Dance Coach

  • Senior Secondary (10+2) with 50% marks.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Dance or Performing Arts.
  • Experience in school-level cultural programs preferred.

9. Special Educator

  • Senior Secondary (10+2) with minimum 50% marks.
  • Diploma / D.Ed. / PG Diploma in Special Education recognized by RCI.
  • Must be registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and possess a valid CRR number.
  • CTET qualification is desirable.

10. Educational Counselor

  • B.A. / B.Sc. in Psychology.
  • Diploma or Certificate in Counselling from a recognized university.
  • Minimum one year of experience in student counselling or guidance services.

11. Yoga Instructor

  • Graduation in any discipline.
  • Diploma or Degree in Yoga from a recognized institution.
  • Prior experience as a Yoga Instructor or Trainer will be preferred.

12. Nurse

  • Diploma in Nursing or General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM).
  • Must be registered with the respective Nursing Council.

Salary details for Odisha KV Recruitment 2026

  • PGT (Post Graduate Teacher): ₹27,500 per month
  • TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher): ₹26,250 per month
  • PRT / Computer Instructor / Special Educator / Sports Coach / Dance Coach / Odia Teacher / Yoga Instructor: ₹21,250 per month
  • Educational Counselor: ₹25,000 per month
  • Nurse: ₹750 per day

Selection process of Kendriya Vidyalaya Odisha Recruitment 2026

Stages of Selection

1. Registration & Document Verification

Candidates must report to the respective Kendriya Vidyalaya on the scheduled interview date for registration. The reporting time is generally between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM. Applicants are required to bring all original certificates along with a set of self-attested photocopies for verification.

2. Personal Interview
